About Marcia

Marcia Jeffers is a dynamic, high-energy senior executive/attorney with an incredibly diverse background combining motivational speaking, mentoring, marketing, business development and sales, advertising and design, public relations, corporate communications, crisis management, government affairs and legal experience.

Her greatest joy comes from speaking about Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway, an international best-seller written by her sister, the late Dr. Susan Jeffers (for more information, please visit www.susanjeffers.com). Written in 1987, the book will celebrate its 30th anniversary next year. It has sold over 15 million copies, has been translated into 35 languages and has been sold in over 100 countries.

Marcia is frequently asked to speak before legal groups such as the New York City Bar and the Association of Legal Administrators, trade groups such as the New Jersey Advertising Club, as well as at the National Diversity Council’s “Women in Leadership Conference.” She has been interviewed on numerous radio programs both in the United States and the United Kingdom. Most recently, she spoke and conducted a workshop at the Cardozo School of Law - Graduate & International Program - for international attorneys studying for an advanced LL.M. degree.

Marcia will tell you that she is driven by the principles set forth in the book. She has reinvented herself numerous times beginning her career as a college instructor, teaching Public Speaking and Argumentation | Debate at Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts. After completing law school, she worked as a securities attorney for an investment company, worked for a lobbying group during the Clinton administration, and was the Director of Advertising and Corporate Communications for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts.

Since moving to New Jersey after marrying her college sweetheart, she became the Chief Marketing Officer at one of the largest law firms in New Jersey. She holds four degrees: a B.A. from New York University, an M.A. from Emerson College, and a J.D. and LL.M. from Boston University.

Clearly Marcia has no trouble feeling the fear and doing it anyway!
